Dr. Julieta Hoveyan is a pediatric oncologist-hematologist at the Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Armenia within the Yeolyan Hematology and Oncology Center and a clinical research physician at the Immune Oncology Research Institute. She leads the Pediatric Neuro-oncology Multidisciplinary Team, dedicated to standardizing and improving the management of pediatric CNS tumors in Armenia. Her scientific interests include pediatric CNS tumors, cancer biology, and immuno-oncology.
Dr. Hoveyan graduated with honors from Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi in 2019. She subsequently pursued clinical training in pediatric hematology and oncology at the Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Armenia (2019–2022), followed by participation in the Global Clinical Scholars Research Training Program at Harvard Medical School (2022–2023). From 2022 to 2024, she was a fellow in the innovative Virtual Pediatric Neuro-oncology Fellowship at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Working within the challenging landscape of pediatric oncology in Armenia, Dr. Hoveyan serves as co-chair of the Neuro-oncology Research and Care Network at Resonance, an initiative focused on strengthening global collaboration among pediatric neuro-oncologists. She is the principal investigator of the International Registry of Rare Embryonal Tumors of the Central Nervous System, established by the Immune Oncology Research Institute to advance knowledge through the development of a large international dataset. She also served as principal investigator of the IMMONC0009 clinical trial.
