Knarik Shamilyan is the Director of Projects at the Immune Oncology Research Institute, where she leads and coordinates the institute’s scientific and operational initiatives with a strong focus on research excellence, innovation, and ethical standards.
She graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine at Yerevan State Medical University, later specializing in Clinical Pharmacology and earning a PhD (Candidate of Medical Sciences) in Pharmacology. Alongside her leadership role, she serves as a Senior Lecturer at the university’s Department of Pharmacology, contributing to the education and mentorship of future medical professionals.
At the Immune Oncology Research Institute, Dr. Shamilyan oversees the planning and implementation of complex research programs, ensuring high standards in project execution and regulatory compliance. Her work bridges scientific research and operational strategy, supporting the institute’s mission to advance innovative oncology and immunology initiatives. She contributes to maintaining compliance with national and international ethical standards, supports institutional reporting and project management processes, and plays an active role in the development, dissemination, and community engagement of the institute’s research initiatives.
