EXPECTATIONS OF BIG PHARMA FROM INVESTIGATORS

In October 2022, the Immune Oncology Research Institute hosted a two-day training by the CRO Atlant Clinical on the “Expectations of Big Pharma from Investigators”. The event was attended by 120 physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals from different oncology clinics in Armenia.

The speakers talked about the different aspects of clinical trials, including the roles of the involved parties, the principles of GCP, data protection regulations, protocol adherence, regulatory and ethical aspects, site requirements, biostatistics, informed consent, monitoring, investigational product handling, patient safety, adverse event reporting, audits, etc.

The speakers included Mikhail Groubman, CEO of Atlant Clinical, Polina Kim, COO, Timur Zagidullin, Director of Biostatistics, Andrey Timofeev, Quality Assurance and Training Manager, and Kseniya Ivanova, Project Manager.

Atlant Clinical is an international contract research organization that operates in Europe, Russia, the US, and other regions. Atlant has vast experience in conducting clinical trials of all phases across many therapeutic areas including oncology.

During the second day of the training, Dr. Narek Baghdasaryan, the Head of the Department on Rational Use of Medicines and Information of the Scientific Centre of Drug and Medical Technology Expertise of the Ministry of Health of Armenia, gave a talk about clinical trial oversight in Armenia and the process of applying for the registration of clinical trials.
