Seminar with Prof. Justin Stebbing from London
Professor Justin Stebbing, a renowned medical oncologist from the UK, visited Armenia in August 2022 and gave a talk to the physicians in the Hematology Center named after Prof. R. Yeolyan about his experience in the clinical trials leading to the approval of baricitinib for the management of COVID-19 and how Armenia can proceed to be involved in effective research on cancer. He also gave an empowering talk to the clinicians about giving effective presentations and structuring a scientific talk.
As a Professor of Biomedical Sciences at ARU, Cambridge and a Visiting Professor of Cancer Medicine at Imperial College, London, Prof. Stebbing has authored over 650 peer-reviewed papers and is a member of the Board of Trustees at the Immune Oncology Research Institute. His visit to the Hematology Center named after Prof. R. Yeolyan in Armenia offered an opportunity for clinicians to learn from his expertise in clinical research and presentation skills, with the aim of enhancing Armenia's involvement in effective cancer research.
